Why Did You Become a Fertility Expert?

When I first saw the Time Magazine photograph and article about the first IVF baby born in the U.S – back when I was in medical school - I knew right away that I wanted to become a fertility doctor.  I immediately knew it would become a life-changing field of medicine and bring so much joy to those wanting to start a family. It was a true passion, almost instantaneously – and for over 25 years I have been so privileged to have been a part of and contributed to this new field of medicine.

What About Boston IVF Makes You Proud?

First and foremost, I am so excited to be a part of one of most experienced and innovative IVF teams in the world brings. With that comes a great deal of pride and responsibility to move the field forward with improvements not only in the safest and highest pregnancy rates, but with even more personalized care that meets the needs of anyone pursuing family building.

What is Your Approach to Patient Care?

Everyone who has experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, or the inability to start a family knows the heartache and unfairness of a condition they did not cause. Understanding these challenges has taught me that careful listening will enable us to better tackle their unique hurdles and allow us to develop a more personal strategy to overcome their challenges.

Have Any Patients Truly Inspired You?

Each and every patient has been a constant source of inspiration for me over the past 25 years. By opening their hearts and demonstrating such strength to overcome the significant challenges of infertility, my patients give me incredible inspiration and motivation. It’s that strength that drives me to fight for their dream of becoming a parent.
