Why Did You Become a Fertility Expert?
In medical school, I was fascinated with the biology of reproduction.  However, it was my experience with the individuals experiencing the heartache of infertility that convinced me that this was the field for me.  Family is such an important part of our identity and infertility can unfairly delay the dream of a family for many.  It is so rewarding to assist people in overcoming this hurdle.  There is no greater joy than becoming a parent and I feel privileged to be able to assist people with creating their families.

What About Boston IVF Makes You Proud?
While we have a world class IVF lab and facilities, it is the people that I work with that make me the most proud.  I am fortunate that my clinical team is not only highly skilled but also very compassionate.  They can really relate to what patients are going through and will go above and beyond to meet individual needs, both medical and emotional.  We mourn your losses and we celebrate your successes.  When dealing with infertility, there are times when a familiar face who is cheering you on will make all the difference.

What is Your Approach to Patient Care?
The journey through infertility can be stressful and confusing. We live in an age where there is a ton of information available at our fingertips.  But as patients, making sense of that information and how it applies to your situation is not always easy.  I believe that knowledge is powerful and one of my principle jobs is to empower you with education about what your best options are.  Many patients comment that they feel so much better about their situation after their initial appointment with me.  I strive to partner with my patients to provide individualized and compassionate care with a high degree of personal interaction. I want my patients to know that I am with them every step of the way.

Have Any Patients Truly Inspired You?
The strength of women, even when they don’t see their own strength, has always inspired me.  It’s what inspired me to go into the field of obstetrics and later infertility.  While many patients will get pregnant quickly with treatment, there are others who struggle for years or who experience multiple losses before successful pregnancy.  Many of these patients will come back to visit me with their beautiful babies and they always tell me that their children are worth every second of the struggle that they endured.  I can’t think of anything more inspirational than that.

What makes working at Boston IVF & IVF New England So Great?
We are so fortunate to have so much expertise available at one center.  While many infertility cases are straightforward, experience makes all the difference in cases that are unusual or complex.  The experience of the physician and of the IVF lab are crucial.  We will work collaboratively together to overcome tough cases and the amount of experience that we have readily available at one center is unparalleled.

How Do You Spend Your Free Time?
Born and raised in Vermont, I am an outdoor enthusiast.  I happily spend some of my free in the mountains of beautiful New Hampshire – hiking, skiing or snowshoeing, depending on the season.  I also enjoy perennial gardening and am a lifelong runner.

Where is the one place in the world you would want to travel?
I have a long list of places that I would love to travel to or travel back to.  I have fond memories of traveling to American cities and national parks with my family as a child.  Later I was fortunate to be able to travel through Europe while my fiancé (now husband) was living abroad.  Some more exotic destinations that I would love to visit someday include Australia, Figi and Israel.

What's the Most Recent Book You've Read?
I’m a bit of a bookworm so I’m always reading something.  I recently read, The Light Between Oceans, which is a heartbreaking story about a couple struggling with infertility before there were treatments available.  My favorite authors in recent memory are Jodi Picoult and Liane Moriarty.  I’ve also recently enjoyed re-reading the Harry Potter series with my son.

We look forward to speaking with you, and will be in touch as soon as possible!
