Lauren Albrecht Murphy, MD is a Reproductive Endocrinologist at Boston IVF and a native of East Lyme, Connecticut.
Dr. Lauren Murphy graduated with honors from Trinity College, received her medical degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and went on to complete residency at Weill-Cornell/New York Presbyterian Hospital. She went on to complete a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Past accolades include induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and recipient the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine award.
Additionally, Lauren completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell in Manhattan, where she was actively involved in a number of reproductive endocrinology research projects. She was selected to present an oral presentation at the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society in 2013 on her work involving failure to respond to GnRH agonist trigger.
Dr. Murphy sees patients in her Brookline, MA office as well as in Quincy, MA.
She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is an active candidate for certification in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She is a member of American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the New England Fertility Society, Pacific Coast Reproductive Society.

What is Your Approach to Patient Care?
I approach each patient with an open mind and an open heart. The journey to success is complicated, and emotional. I work together with my patients and our team to talk through the challenges and come up with new plans, whether they be alternative treatment plans specifically, or options for additional emotional support. I also never hesitate to collaborate with my wonderfully experienced colleagues at Boston IVF to get the best collective approach drawing, upon decades of experience.

How Do You Spend Your Free Time?
Spending time outdoors is what I love best. Whether it’s hanging out in the backyard, finding local hikes, or heading to the beach, exploring nature together is how I feel refreshed at the end of a week.
