SHARE YOUR INSPIRING SUCCESS STORY!

Shortly after we got married in 2018, we tried for several months to get pregnant. In 2021 after loosing a significant amount of weight, we experienced the heartbreak of back to back miscarriages followed by 2 failed IUIs. In February 2022 after many years of heartache, my husband and I were referred to Boston IVF and had our first meeting with Dr. Lannon.

From the beginning, Dr. Lannon and the amazing team at the South Portland office put our nerves at ease and were available to answer any questions we had. After 2 rounds of egg retrievals, we transferred our lucky embryo on October 4th and 2 weeks later, we found out we were pregnant with our miracle. Each year we celebrate October 4th as Happy Colin day in our family.

HOW DID YOUR BOSTON IVF PHYSICIAN AND NURSING TEAM HELP TO MAKE YOUR JOURNEY A SUCCESS?

Dr. Lannon and the entire South Portland staff

WHAT WERE SOME HIGHS OR LOWS OF YOUR TREATMENT(S)?

The best high was the confirmation of our pregnancy. The most heartbreaking moment was after our first retrieval when only 1 embryo made it to day 5.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER STRUGGLING WITH INFERTILITY?

Be honest with not only yourself, but also your partner about how each of you are feeling day to day. The stress of the process can be very isolating and talking through how each of you are feeling can help feel less isolated.
