our story

By Alison & Paul

After 1.5 years of infertility we were referred to Boston IVF. We soon found out I did have a partially blocked fallopian tube due to scar tissue. We quickly jumped into 3 IUI’s and unfortunately had no success. Due to lack of insurance coverage we did have to make the hard decision to step away from further treatment at that time. 1 year later we were thrilled to find out the state of Maine passed a law to require insurances to provide some IVF coverage.

We eagerly contacted Dr. Wrights office in Bedford, NH, ready to move forward with IVF. In the most capable hands we then had another 9 months of getting medications on track before our first cycle. Painfully our first round, did not result in a pregnancy.

With the reassurance of Dr. Wright, we jumped into a second cycle to find out we were pregnant after a long 4 years of trying. On November 1st, 2025 we welcomed our dream girl, Blair Banks. There will never be enough thanks to Dr. Wright and the entire team at the Bedford, NH location.

HOW DID YOUR BOSTON IVF PHYSICIAN AND NURSING TEAM HELP TO MAKE YOUR JOURNEY A SUCCESS?

Both Dr. Wright and Dr. Nesbit played an huge role in our treatment. They made us feel hopeful while also being sure to stay realistic and setting us up for success.

WHAT WERE SOME HIGHS OR LOWS OF YOUR TREATMENT(S)? WHAT IS UNIQUE/DIFFERENT ABOUT YOUR STORY?

The ultimate high was of course getting that first positive pregnancy test- nothing could describe that feeling. A big low was bearing the financial burden as well as adjusting medications for 9 months before we could move forward with IVF.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER STRUGGLING WITH INFERTILITY?

Stay grounded. Feel your feelings as they come- acknowledge them and then let them pass. Most importantly- Throw any timeline you had out the window!
