Boston IVF is proud to announce the newest addition to its Providence, Rhode Island fertility center—Dr. Katherine “Katie” Baker, a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based fertility care.
Dr. Baker joins Boston IVF with deep expertise in in vitro fertilization (IVF), intrauterine insemination (IUI), egg freezing, fertility preservation, LGBTQ+ family building, and recurrent pregnancy loss. Her approach combines scientific precision with empathy, helping each patient navigate their unique path to parenthood with care that’s rooted in the latest research and reproductive technologies.
“We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Baker to our Rhode Island team,” said Alan S. Penzias, MD, Northeast Region Medical Director of Boston IVF. “Her clinical expertise and passion for helping patients build families embody what Boston IVF stands for and further strengthen our ability to deliver world-class, patient-centered fertility care across New England.”
Dr. Baker’s academic background includes medical training at the University of Florida College of Medicine, an OB/GYN residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School, and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) at Women & Infants Hospital/Brown University.
In addition to her clinical work, she has contributed to research exploring fertility preservation and the environmental impacts on reproductive health.
“I’m honored to join the Boston IVF team and contribute to a practice that shares my passion for delivering compassionate, evidence-based fertility care,” said Dr. Baker. “Every patient’s path to parenthood is unique, and my goal is to meet each one with empathy, honesty, and the best science available.”
