Biography

Dr. Nairi Strauch completed her undergraduate education at Stanford University with a BA in Human Biology. She went on to earn an MS in Biomedical Science and complete medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine. She then completed an MBA the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.

Dr. Strauch brings a passion for equitable, evidence-based fertility care and a strong background in translational research.

What drew you to reproductive endocrinology and Boston IVF, and how does it align with your vision for the kind of care patients deserve?
I was drawn to REI because of the field’s unique focus on the achievement of patients’ life goals and its commitment to research and technological advancements. I especially enjoy the intimate nature of patient relationship building throughout the reproductive journey. My introduction to the clinical side of REI began at Boston IVF where I observed how the physicians expertly counsel patients and form tailored treatment plans as part of a dedicated, organized team. Patients deserve to be listened to and for their priorities to be at the center of the care provided. I look forward to joining the team at Boston IVF and contributing to this mission!

In what ways do you see the field of reproductive endocrinology evolving, and how will you contribute — both individually and as part of the fellowship?
I foresee the field moving towards increased personalization thanks to advancements in individualized testing and data collection, and I’m also excited about progress in expanding access within the field of REI. As a fellow, I hope to get involved in translational research that informs clinical decision making and evidence-based care. I look forward to taking advantage of the broad educational opportunities, contributing the collegial culture of the department, as well as establishing close patient relationships and providing equitable care.

Do you have any special connection to the local community?
I have lived in downtown Boston for the past decade for my medical education and training and have come to call it home. I met my husband here, and we just welcomed our baby girl last month! We look forward to continuing to build our personal and professional lives in the greater Boston area.
