My husband and I met while I was on vacation in the Dominican Republic back in 2009 when I was only 19! We married 2 years after that and started trying for a family rather quickly... but after 4 years of nothing, we finally decided to reach out to Boston IVF. Isabella was conceived via IVF in March of 2016 and is now going on 5 years old (11/11 is her birthday ). This past February we did our first round of a FET ( first attempt since the birth of Isabella ) which resulted in this pregnancy with our second daughter, Aria. Remarkably her due date (11/11/21) is Isabellas birthday and they were both conceived the same day in March back in 2016!! We are so thankful for Dr. DiGirolamo and her amazing team. We couldn’t be happier completing our family. Thank you to the entire staff at Boston IVF for making our dreams of being a family come true!
How did your boston ivf physician and nursing team help to make your journey a success?
Dr. DiGirolamo and all her nursing team were so amazing both times
What were some highs or lows of your treatment(s)? What is unique/different about your story?
The lows were definitely getting no answers and being told it was just a simple hormonal fix and still not conceiving on my own. The years of seeing all my friends get pregnant without even trying were really hard as well. The highs were being very hopeful that IVF would work for us, and it being successful twice!
What advice do you have for other struggling with infertility?
My advice is to trust the process of infertility treatments. I was so scared to admit I needed help being only 24 when I finally decided to contact Boston IVF. I was embarrassed because I was so young. I didn’t know anyone else who had this problem. The problem isn’t that we are having trouble, it’s that no one is talking about it so we feel isolated. Infertility is SO MUCH more common than we think it is and there is absolutely no reason to feel embarrassed or ashamed.

We look forward to speaking with you, and will be in touch as soon as possible!
