Dr. Robert Carrasquillo is a board-certified urologist urologist and expert in the fields of male fertility and sexual health. He completed graduate training in molecular biology through Harvard University and obtained his MD from Harvard Medical School. Following his urology residency at Boston Medical Center, he completed a rigorous fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at the University of Miami, and returned to Boston as faculty in the Division of Urology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Needham, and Instructor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
The scope of Dr. Carrasquillo’s practice includes treatment of all forms of male infertility, low testosterone, fertility preservation in cancer patients, and sexual dysfunction. He is trained in advanced surgical techniques including microsurgery for the treatment of male infertility. Dr. Carrasquillo is also an advocate for improving education, outreach and access to sexual health and fertility care for LGBT patients.
Dr. Carrasquillo has published multiple articles and book chapters in the areas of sexual health and infertility, and he has presented at national meetings on a variety of related topics including the impact of advanced paternal age on outcomes in assisted reproduction and fertility preservation surgery in testicular cancer patients. He is an active member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, American Urological Association, Sexual Medicine Society, Society for the Study of Male Reproduction, Society for Male Reproduction and Urology, the New England Fertility Society, and RESOLVE New England.
